Amita St.Joseph Hospital . Dr. Razmina has been working in the field of cardiac electrophysiology since 2003. In July 2010, he performed his first entirely flouroless catheter ablation. He has since developed and refined this technique and, over the past 9 years, has performed over 2500 consecutive flouroless catheter ablations. He has served as a mentor to many of his peers globally. He has disseminated his views on the flouroless techniques potential for enhanced safety by authoring several publications including a text book and delivering seminars on this topic locally, nationally and internationally. As director of the cardiac EP lab, he has brought this state-of-the-art procedure to Amita Saint Joseph Hospital in Elgin, making it the only hospital in the nation that performs catheter ablation of cardiac arrhythmias in an entirely radiation free environment." Arkansas Heart Hospital . Born in Taiwan, Dr. Monica Lo moved with her family to Texas when she was 12 years old. She graduated with honors from Rice University, and then received her medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She stayed at UT Southwestern to complete her internal medicine residency and fellowships in cardiology and clinical cardiac electrophysiology. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology. She has also been awarded the American Heart Association Women in Cardiology Trainee Award for Excellence. An active member of the American College of Cardiology and the Heart Rhythm Society, Dr. Lo has given several talks at the organization’s national meetings. She specializes in the electrical conduction of the heart and treats patients with a variety of heart rhythm disturbances, including palpitations, syncope, supraventricular tachycardia, atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia. She performs catheter-based ablations in the heart and also implants pacemakers and defibrillators.
