The 18^th Oriental Congress of Cardiology (OCC 2024) and the World Congress of Cardiology (WCC 2024) will be held from June 27 to 30, 2024, at the Shanghai International Convention Center.

As a significant event in the field of cardiovascular medicine, The ACC-WHF Joint Session and JCS-WHF Joint Session will bring together top experts in the field of cardiology worldwide to discuss the latest research achievements in heart failure. These Sessions will release the latest breakthroughs in basic research on heart failure, share new technologies and methods in the diagnosis and treatment of heart failure in clinical practice, as well as the latest progress in personalized treatment strategies. In the field of cardiovascular medicine, heart failure (HF), as a severe cardiac disease, has consistently garnered extensive attention from the global medical community. HF not only impacts patients' quality of life but also poses a significant threat to their lives. To gain a deeper understanding of this disease, Professor Toshiyuki Ko from Japan will lead us to a comprehensive understanding of HF through molecular pathophysiology.

Meanwhile, Professor Yuya Matsue from Japan focuses his attention on elderly patients with heart failure. He will systematically introduce the therapeutic strategies for this special population by utilizing multi-domain methods. Additionally, Professor Amitava Banerjee from the UK connects HF with the COVID-19 pandemic, exploring the implications of HF in future epidemic prevention and control, and bringing new insights to the prevention, control, and treatment strategies for HF.

Professor Cathleen Biga from the US comprehensively will explain how to carry out heart failure projects to promote clinical research and application of heart failure treatment, bringing more hope for future patients.

In addition, Professor Christopher Kramer from the US will systematically introduce the latest technologies in the field of heart failure imaging, which will further improve the accuracy and efficiency of heart failure diagnosis. While Professor Dipti Itchhaporia from the US will elaborate on the latest developments in drug therapy, providing more effective treatment options for heart failure patients.
